She bought me an orchid

She bought me an orchid and smashed my dishes
and left me a note by the clock.
I touched it and day-dreamed of last night's kisses,
eating dinner straight from the wok.

My love was blinkered - not blind per se,
When fantasies filled my hours
Had I written it then the verse would say
She bought me lovely flowers.

She bought me an orchid and smashed my dishes
and left me a note by the clock.
I touched it and day-dreamed of last night's kisses,
eating dinner straight from the wok.

Who needs crockery anyway?
